The platters and bowls below represent my work in both black and white maiolica with painting in overglaze stains. The Road to Goose Pond series represented my dreams of the Spring trip to Goose Pond and the summer that awaited. I am immensely drawn to this most difficult of glazes and have taken workshops with Linda Arbuckle and Matthias Ostermann in the medium. Unfortunately, now that I am doing a very slow glaze firing with a cool down cycle, this glaze no longer works. I do hope to get back to this series someday.
